Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

MERRY BELATED CHRISTMAS, you guys!! Thanks for reading my oh-so-boring blog. hehe.

Well I didn't do anything special for Christmas, Richard came over and he cooked what he call a "traditional" Christmas dinner - basically what he cooks all the time but with oh-so-yummy salad! I can't get enough of those, really! He says it's not fattening but trust me, the SALAD CREAM is the biggest crime to make yourself gain a few pounds. But it's yummy anyway. Well you know what they say, what taste good is bad for you. Besides the romantice Christmas dinner, I went for the Midnight Mass the night before.

Unfortunately I couldn't take any pictures, out of respect for the church etc. But let me try and describe how it was... BREATH-TAKING! Seriously, they had a Choir from Heaven - they sang so beautifully. Especially when one of the guy had a solo singing 'O Holy Night'. [If you don't know that song, youtube it] For those who knows, you know what I mean when I say he sings like JOSH GROBAN.

Here. Click Here. Fantastic isn't it? Damn. Best midnight mass ever. I teared when he sang. OK, enough of Christmas - it's over and now it's time to prepare for the year 2010!

I have been thinking about New Years, and the resolutions I should make. But before I actually do start making myself a better person, I feel the need to say sorry to some of the people who have always been there for me through good and bad times - and yet I forget it and tend to treat them the worst ever. It's funny how 'people' tend to treat the ones who loves them the most - the worst. I've decided to make my apology to these 3 people who I've hurt along the years and I will try my best to be a better person for these people. On a general note, to my friends and family - I am trying to change, but I need your help - I can't do this alone.

Question of the day.

WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING IN LONDON?

The search for Job begins.. and continues.

It's been a week of my Job Search, and yet I have NOTHING. Yesterday I thought I'd finally gotten a response, to my disbelieve it was a Job Scam. Apparently it's a 'door-to-door' sales marketing company that pays you solely on commission. I got all excited for NOTHING. Now I know most of you will say 'it's only been a week kat, these things take time..' BLABLABLA.

You see, I just realise something. It's not that job searches take time, it's just ME. I have been applying for retail/waitressing jobs and got NOTHING. You want to know why? Because all of them ask me to send a picture of myself. Because i'm not pretty or attractive enough, I can't work in places in most retails selling clothes for size 2. Obviously they don't say it to your face and it does make sense. But thing is.. every shop is like that on Oxford. WHERE DO FATTIES GO TO? Gosh. I know I'm a fatty and I'm trying to work on it - but being home everyday without is job isn't exactly contributing to my diet plan.

Come on guys, Why wouldn't you want to hire me? I'm so Cute. SEE!
Please give me a Job! I'll promise to make you smile :)

Oh btw, I received another call - inviting me to come for an interview. Unfortunately, I didn't look up on the company before applying. The company is a NATURIST HEALTH SPA. They pay £40 an hour for a hostess/general assistant position. £40 is a lot of money but there's only one ULTIMATE bad part of the job. You'll have to be NAKED! Everyone in there's naked, so you'll have to integrate with them. I just can't imagine allowing people to see my flabby body, or worse, see someone elses flabby body. We'd probably jus sit down together and compare who's flabbier. That's just wrong.

Anyway, back to my job search - I'm beginning to wonder whether going back to Malaysia would be a better choice. Let me know what you guys think :)

Graduation!

Finally I got the pictures for you guys to check out! Unfortunately the weather that day was absolutely dreadful - so we couldn't really take much pictures. Oh well, at least it was a memorable ceremony. But I didn't get to do that 'guailo-throwing-hat-while-jumping' stunt! My hat was flying without my help! After the graduation ceremony, I had my own graduation dinner with just family members - meaning Richard and Joan. Pathetic right? lol Oh yeah, Josh was there to - upon request from my dad, he still thinks Josh and Joan is dating. lol Since the photo uploading thing is like upside down, we shall start with the dinner then work our way up to the ceremony! :) Enjoy!

Here's when Africa meets China. A great United Nations campaign.

And we welcome the 'White boy' into our United Nations circle.
[Josh apparently looks like a guai lo]

Here's well.. Mr and Mrs United Nations?

I'm just speechless, but it was a hell of a dessert!
It's call the GODFATHER! seriously. lol

Spot the Blackie and win £100,000!!

Ella Sy, France - She's the greatest friend I met from Uni.
[like steph of the UK]

This is Winnie's SISTER. According to Winnie, You'll have to compare the nose to know they're related. Try it out! Cover the eyes and mouth. You'll see Winnie with covered eyes and mouth! How cool is that?! :D

Now to the Graduation ceremony! My mum took the pictures, so it's not that clear. Maybe she was too excited? Her daughters graduation ok!

Winnie still got time to pose -.-
After receiving her FIRST CLASS HONOURS. oh.
no wonder got time to pose la.

My mum Fatt Hao at some Italian restaurant after the ceremony.
Think of David now..
See the resemblance? Now we know where he gets it from.

Dad with his Dalai Lama look. Like that Fortune buddha!

I look constipated here.

ME, shaking hands with the Chancellor - THIS WAS WHEN HE RUINED MY PLAN!
I will remember this Sir Chancellor.

blablabla - I shall embarrass that Chinese Girl when she comes up by asking her questions!
"£%!&%£$"!!

All the lecturers and old, boring people.
Only about 4-5 amongst them are my lecturers.

Beautiful Music with a Trumpet. Fa-la-la-la-la by a fatty.
How stereotype can this be?

Winnie, Jon and My + I really don't remember who that guy is.
Sorry! lol But he's Malaysian la.

OK, That's most of the pictures - the others are just, UGLY. And I've deleted them, it's call Public Relations you know? I have to protect my image. Although, the people who reads my blog are those who probably have already seen my worst side. lol

Thorny Devil's Graduation

Richard slept over last night, so we were playing 'general knowledge' quizzes online to try and get ourselves to fall asleep.

What is a Moloch?
(A) An Australian Animal
(B) A Korean Food
(C) A German Vehicle
(D) A place in France

Did you know that a Moloch is also called 'Thorny Devil' - which is an Australian Lizard. How cool is that? See, we learn something new. At first I read 'Horny Devil' and I kept laughing and shouting

moloch
moloch
moloch

... until I suddenly stopped and realise that calling 'it' 3 times might be a tribal ting'a'ma'git to actually summon something paranormal. Then my face went blank and I went completely silent for about a min...

@_@

Then Richard had to ruin my 'lost in space' mode by asking me 'What is Moloch LA', he uses 'LA' very frequent now - thou it really sounds weird with an African accent. Imagine this

"!XOBILE"
"Please do not yell in the Casino, LA"

BTW, Graduation wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. The wind was blowing very strongly and the weather was just being a bitch. So we couldn't really take any pictures, cause everytime I stand outside - my cap flies away.

OH! and it was HORRIBLE actually. I was so nervous, hoping that I wouldn't fall down or embarrass myself - so I was rehearsing on what I should do. I kept telling myself this...

Shake his hands, Take the scroll, and Walk down.

And I kept repeating that in my head.. until... Something just HAD to go against what I rehears la! Here's what happened: I went up, shook the old man's hand - said 'Thank You' while he said 'Congratulations'.. well technically the next step was to take the scroll.. but NOOOO.. SOMEBODY wanted to say more than just 'CONGRATULATIONS'. I remember just thinking to myself 'SHIT, I DIDN'T PLAN FOR THIS'. So while he keeps asking me questions, I kept trying to walk away!! It was like this:

Old Man: What are your plans after studies?
Me: WORK [I actually raised my voice because I was nervous]
Old Man: Have you gotten a job?
Me: NO!! [In a voice that's like saying 'what do you think?']
*walks off to take my scroll*

IT WAS HORRIBLE! Now the chancellor is gonna think I'm like some kind of rude Chinese girl. Imagine all the other Chinese people, he wont want to talk to them anymore - and it's all my fault!! T_T

oh and you can watch the video at herts.ac.uk/ceremonies - you'll have to download RealPlayer thou. What I do is I open RealPlayer and just search for the link there instead. My ceremony is the Wednesday [Afternoon], you can just forward to 31mins of the video - cause besides watching me, the rest are really quite insignificant to you. hehe.

OK, it's sleep time @2am.

Word of the day - JE.A.LOUSY

I was chatting with an old flame late last night, exchanging stories on how our lives are after discontinuing our relationship [meaning-when we stop keeping in touch]. He tells me of things he did for his current GF and how that he loves her so much. Even though I get the impression that he's completely terrified of his girl, and she's like a bit of a control freak. You know what was his reply?

'Well I honestly don't want to hear. Cause when you start listening to other idea of a relationship, you'll start comparing yours and then you'll just end up unhappy. My GF is great and i'm willing to oversee her negatives'

And my response? 'Owh'. How stupid, why didn't I think of that?

WHERE ARE THESE MEN IN THE WORLD?!

So. Being the bitch I am, I started thinking like: -
Why isn't MY relationship like that?
How is it that he can be so happy with that girl?

This isn't fair! So what do I do next? RANT TO MY BEST FRIEND, aka Valarie Chan.

Kat: BITCH BITCH BITCH BITCH BITCH GF of his!!
Val: why you hating?
Kat: *stops and reflect* hmm why?

"Love sees sharply, hatred sees even sharper, but JEALOUSY sees the sharpest for it is love and hate at the same time" - Arabic Proverb

I shall not continue writing, instead, go lie down and start wanting what I have- rather than the need to have what I want. Though I still really think that girl is NOT PRETTY. hmph. Oh well, I guess the defending quote would be - You can't change the leopard spots, or 'You can take the girl out of the Jungle, but you can't take the jungle out of her'. bwahaha. How contradicting. No wonder got war happening in the world.

Does Sleep Dancing exist?

I just came back from watching the Phantom of the Opera. UNFORTUNATELY, I'm in Hatfield :( why? Because I had to accompany my cousin back to Hatfield, she has classes early in the morning tomorrow. So I'll have to bunk with Richard. Although quite frankly I really do not like bunking in here, the bed is small and he shares the room with another friend. And everytime I'm here, he'll have to go sleep outside - Which makes me feel bad. However, now I'm currently in his room, using his laptop, while he is working at DHL, with his friend sleeping on the ground.

OH! WAIT! *turns and look at him*

I swear, he seems to be dancing in his sleep!! As I'm writing this, he seems to be moving his legs left and right - with his right hand up [palm wide open]. Let me try and ta
ke a picture. Gosh. I don't know if I should start playing some music, maybe he'll start to move more?

AH-HA! Got a pic!! Check this out.

Sleep Dancing! Ay-Ka-Ram-BA!

See. Wasn't shitting you. So funny. OH, BTW it's his birthday today. Happy Birthday Tobi boy! Maybe that's why he was dancing? Clubbing in his sleep. Anyway, Michelle is coming this Saturday - can't wait! I'm really missing Valarie and Michelle very much already, and no, I'm not writing because I know you guys read my blog. Anyway guys, haven't really thought of a change today - will keep you posted, or rather myself posted on what exactly I should work on. Till next time.

Remove the OLD, Bring in the NEW!

I believe I've been inactive for a year now. Although clearly I have no other readers besides my 2 best friends in the world [Michelle and Val]. It's Okay, as long as they're reading, the world is reading as far as I'm concerned!

Since 2010 is just only a month or so away, I've decided it's time for a change! You know what? TRASH THAT! In fact I think the change should commence once I turn 21 years old. Which falls on the 1st of December, if both my friends have forgotten. This change will be.. hmm I honestly haven't really gave it much thought. All I know is that I don't want to be that Bitchy girl, and be more friendly like my cousin - Joan. I know this may sound greatly odd to my friends, but I strongly believe that my cousin is probably the most friendly person in the world. She makes friends extremely fast, and practically everyone loves her! And I guess what I'm trying to say is, the first change would be - to become MUCH friendlier.

Of course that will not be the only change. There's obviously plenty more of ME that needs changing, but considering its 7am in the morning and I haven't gotten any sleep - I think the rest of the changes will just have to wait till the next day.

BTW, am going to watch Phantom Of The Opera with mum and cousin tonight [Wednesday]. Please do hate me for that, I know you're very much jealous. HA!

Quotes : "Her blog is like.. inactive" Tan, M (2008)

LOL Sorry la.. busy tau? Actually not really.. but I've been meaning to update. Just that my laptop has been with the technician for almost 2 months now. So I 'terpaksa' buy a new desktop that cost £488 with everything included. I think it's quite a deal cos I checked prices back home and it's pretty cheap, some more with the rates going lower and all. Plus I have no pictures watsoever here. But nonetheless, I will post up some pictures. For my loyal and ONLY reader, Michelle Tan. Oh, btw, I went for mass today with a nigerian friend whose name is Richard. Sounds elegant huh? He is a really nice guy. So today was the FIRST day i attended mass in UK. PRAISE THE LORD! [I bet my mum is screaming that] and tonight I'll be going for some fancy dress party.

Will take pictures and post it up. Dont worry. I'm not like *arhem* VAL. Who doesn't find her friend at all! Find her also dont spend QUALITY time with me. Hmmpphh! It's like that now, I understand. LOL! =p Anyway, picturess!!

Leaving 20th September 2008.

Time passes by so quickly.

So very quickly.

I didn't even realise I'm about to leave the country in 3 days time, for an entire YEAR. It has been really difficult for me, going out with my close friends and spending time with my family members. Although it may only be a year, still, being away from people I love for even a week will be painful for me. This is going to be a quick blog, for those people out there who I really care and love for.

A year in UK, will be very painful for me. To leave my comfort zone away from my family, to not be able to meet friends or drive around freely, to not eat or sleep anytime I want, to have late night entertainments and food anywhere, and to not be amongst your presence. I really never knew how difficult it would be for me, I always thought I would walk away cool at the airport and leave without a single drop of tears. Heck I was wrong, even now in my bedroom I'm already so damn emo. And I know a lot of people will say "But with Internet, It's like you were never gone". Please, it's different kay.

The people I love so very much:

My Family!~

My most love Aunty and Uncle.

My forever buddies

Steph, the only friend in the world who knows me IN and OUT (literally!) The only one who has always been with me during good times and bad.

"Steph, Thanks for being there for me. I really appreciate you, you will always have a special place in my heart! "
Leng, the sister I never had.

Kok, my long friend

Crystal

Will miss all of you, truly. Please don't forget me! And for most whose name I did not mention, I will miss you too. Just that.. cannot find your picture to post it up! ^_^v

Dancing with our fathers.

Steven Curtis Chapman : Cinderella

She spins and she sways to whatever song plays,
Without a care in the world.
And I'm sittin' here wearin' the weight of the world on my shoulders.
It's been a long day and there's still work to do,
She's pulling at me saying "Dad I need you!
There's a ball at the castle and I've been invited and I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy, please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone

She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed
She wants to know if I approve of the dress
She says "Dad, the prom is just one week away,
And I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy, please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone
She will be gone.

Well, she came home today
With a ring on her hand
Just glowin' and tellin' us all they had planned
She says "Dad, the wedding's still six months away
but I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
(even one song)
Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone

This is currently my favorite song, and Yes Yes Winnie. See, according to Winnie (I decided to change her nickname to something more professional) I have ALOT of favorite songs. Which of course differs from the real meaning of FAVORITE. Anyway, as I was saying, this is CURRENTLY my favorite song. I simply love this song, listening to it makes me feel sad. And please, I'm not a sadist ok. Well, let me explain.

You see, this song was written by a man name Steven Curtis Chapman, who is actually a famous singer for gospel songs. It seems that he wrote this song addressing to his 2 adopted little girls from China, thinking about how time passes so quickly and how he gets to spend less and less time with his girls. Early this year, his youngest adopted daughter was knocked down by his biological son. PLEASE PEOPLE, it's not because he was jealous of their relationship and felt left out.. She's only 5 years old OK. The boy was reversing into the driveway when he drove over her, she passed instantly.

It's damn blardy sad ok.. She's so blardy cute. Here's a picture of her. Her name is Maria Sue Chapman. Chinese girls are so adorable.. awwwww..

Maria Sue! GO CHINA!

So anyway, this afternoon (5/9/08) Val, Mich and I were in the car on our way back after lunch at Ikano. And suddenly Mich gets a phone call from her dad, and from one side of the phone line.. here's how the conversation went..

Mich: What? Why Cannot?

Mich's Dad
: (we couldn't hear, she wasn't on loud speaker)

Mich: I don't care, I will tell her.

Mich's Dad: (still can't hear)

Mich: Why? Why? I will tell her. I don't care.

Mich's Dad: (again...)

Mich: Yerr Daddy!! You so bad!

It was then when I notice something and had to turn to val and ask.

"Val, can you ever be like that to Uncle Chan? (her dad. else it would be weird being LIKE THAT to some stranger) Cos I don't think I can have that kind of relationship with my dad. It's just weird"- Said Me.

Val agreed with me. Our dads are the same, and I shall not go further than that statement. Sorry, it's a close family secret. HAHA! So I guess it's good to have someone who would understand how you feel when it comes to dad. Sometimes when I watch those Guai Lo movies, when they have weddings or whatever functions, even Sweet 16s. To those Guai Lo daughters, it is very important to them to have their first dance with their father. And I was just wondering , I can't dance for NUTS. And I highly doubt my dad can too. We're Chinese man. The only dancing is Lion Dancing or the Cha Cha Cha. Besides, it would be really weird having to dance with my dad. But, most of the time, I do wish I get to experience that special relationship they have with their dads.

Growing up with 3 other brothers, sometimes I forget the Basics of being a girl. And as I grow older, there are things in the world for a girl that I experience, things that my brothers just wouldn't understand. The only person I have in the world is my Mum, and I wouldn't trade her for anyone else in the world. But sometimes I do wish I had a sister, I often envy my friends like mich, val, winnie or steph, everytime they mention their sisters. I wish I could experience the feeling of having someone that you can share completely everything with, a sister that you can hold hands with when you go shopping. Or someone to share your clothes with.

OKOK, enough. No Emo Allow! I guess I'll stop now, sorry I can't think of an ending. I guess this will do. Will be going to Melaka tmrw with my good friend Crystal and her BF I-Ish, I will try my best to update whenever I can. Since I'm back by POPULAR DEMAND. (Michelle demand, HAHA!) She misses my blogging.

L.I.F.E

Like It's Freaking Exciting.

Monday, July 7, 2008

You know one of things that the kids do that adds on to my many enjoyable days in Kumon is when they don't understand what you say. And sometimes it's just so darn difficult to explain what you said.

For example.

Last week, one of my favorite student [yes, I know as a teacher I shouldn't be bias] was sitting in front of me doing his work while I was marking one of the other students work. Who happen to get almost all of his questions wrong. Then the student sitting in front of me started asking..

Boy: Wah, teacher. He got so many wrong.

Teacher: Because he is so very smart.

Boy: Huh? If he's smart, I don't think he would get all wrong.

Teacher: Not smart smart lah. Never mind, I was being Sarcastic.

Boy: Sarcastic? Teacher, what you mean?

Teacher: Erh, you know when you say something you don't mean. erhh something like that

[Fine, I know that's not the exact meaning. But come on lah, how the hell to explain sarcastic?]

Boy: But teacher? Why would we wanna say something we don't mean?

[When he said that, I thought to myself. True also, shit la this stupid kid. So the only reply I could think of was...]

Teacher: Aiyah, Just do your work lah. Don't talk so much.

The power of being a teacher, I say DO WORK! They do. And our conversation is forgotten! =D But I have to admit, gotta love kids these days!

Welcome to Bangkok, Thailand [Phase 1]

OK.. OoooooK!

Finally, I've got my internet back. And although my mum and I have been sitting in front of the computer ever since we got home (I mean, come on. The woman hasn't even changed yet!). Anyway, it's back to blogging, facebook and surfing the net. Due to me not having an internet connection, I'm now very poor on Friend For Sale. And BossMun even has like 2Million. Dammit! Finally I'm back to the internet world, and as promised, blog for my recent Bangkok - Thailand holiday.

And I know I said before that next post would be about the "Fish Spa" we went. But since I had no connection for the past 2 weeks, I personally feel the OMPH and excitement of Fish Spa has died.

Sorry, so shall we proceed to Bangkok Vacation 2008?

oh yea, and before I begin..

Maxis
you still suck. So, NOT forgiven. Blardy hell give us a month free la. Since you already took 2 weeks of OUR time. retards. pfft.

So, instead of telling you our entire itinerary by long boring letters, I thought perhaps a photo journey would be much more appealing. You think so?

Moving along.

Welcome to

Bangkok Vacation 2008. - Phase 1
The Land of SMILES
.

[applause]

Before we begin..

Please..
Please remember..

Now we've got all the rules and regulations understood. Let me just give you a brief summary of our trip. There was 4 of us..

Louisa - De SaSaSa

Winnie - De WhineyWinnie

Stephanie - De SmokeySteph

And yours truly.

So first stop, LCCT.

Before we leave for Bangkok, on AirAsia. Surprisingly the flight and customer service was really good. Recommended, seriously. For any poor people out there who wants to fly but have no money, AirAsia will help get you to where you want to go!

LCCT

Rich homeless looking people I found in LCCT [tee-hee, joke!]

SmokeySteph and a fucking VIOLENT drunktard.

Freaks, being themselves.
oh yea.

Reminder:
Please bring your own food on AirAsia. As they charge you for every single thing.
So be prepared to pay and jus sit on the plane without moving an inch.

And,

if anyone is going on AirAsia again, please get me that pair of black flip-flops. Thanks.

After 2 Hours..

WELCOME TO BANGKOK, THAILAND
The Land of Smiles!

Even Ronald is HERE!

I jus HAD to take this picture. You see, the one thing I love about Bangkok is.. Their ADVERTISING. Here you see a guy, wearing tight spandex with some weird sharp plastic shapes covering him. This definitely caught my attention.
[Promoting for product: MAC - cosmetics]

Central World Plaza - One of the biggest Shopping Complex in Bangkok

An Arsenal Shop, for my brother to see and envy.

Next day, We went on a City Tour. Basically, going on a boat that will bring you around the "city" on a dirty water. Now I know it may not sound as interesting as it is. But trust me, It was really enjoyable. One of the highlights of our trip, YO!

A DARK picture of us.
[Because the photographer was an idiot.]

A nicer one.

On something that is on the river.
It shakes and moves.

A second shot.
[in case this photographer was another idiot.]

And, We got on the Boat.

to..

FEED FISH!!!

Next stop, Gem Gallery. Where we were welcomed with free drinks! And ladies who chase you around the gallery, hoping that you would buy something!

[Trust me, they really do chase you]

I tried running, and she actually ran after me! I just kept saying
"no buy no buy! look for friend! OK?!"

Then I guess she finally understood that this is NOT a buying customer. She left me alone.

Anyway, here's SaSaSa in the Video presentation.

CamWhore 01 - In Car

CamWhore 02 - Same Car

Next, BEE FARM.

Where they DON'T have actual Bees around.

Yeah I know, I was frigging disappointed too. Was looking forward to going there actually :(

SaSaSa and SmokeySteph being disgusted about something bee-ish.

Taiwan guy speaker - He's quite cute lah.

SmokeySteph was the guinea pig for some Bee thingy[where they steal from the Queen B] to show how FLAWLESS her skin would be.

Please wait 15mins for effect. Thank You.

After our city tour, we went to what we knew best.

SHOPPING. at mbt or something like that.

WhineyWinnie wanted to try the 'Mister Donut' so badly, and she finally had her chance.

Sorry. No pictures of Donuts.
Donuts make me wanna puke
.

but.. I have a picture of us! Isn't that much better? :D

OK, this is the end of Phase 1.
I'm super tired and I need to sleep! Meeting up with WhineyWinnie early in the morning to get our hair done. Hehe! I'm finally gonna perm my hair. After waiting for donkey years for my hair to grow. Wish me luck. Hopefully my head isn't too bald to not be able to perm :(

WhineyWinnie is gonna dye her hair RED.
Yeah, Don't worry.

I'll take pictures ;p
